The monitor screen displays charging current and voltage in charging mode, the remaining battery capacity and voltage in standby mode, and discharging current and voltage in discharge mode. Before first use or after a prolonged period of non-use, the meter should be calibrated. First, discharge the lithium battery to 0%. Then, use a compatible 12V LiFePO4 battery charger or solar charge controller to fully charge the LiFePO4 battery.
Our lithium batteries are designed to stop charging when the temperature reaches 23°F to 41°F, and our LiFePO4 batteries will stop discharging when the temperature reaches -13°F to 5°F. This feature keeps your lithium batteries in excellent condition, even in the coldest weather.
The built-in premium 100A BMS provides 6 layers of safety protection, including low temperature, high temperature, overcharge, overdischarge, overcurrent, and short circuit protection, ensuring increased performance and longer lifetime. Dr.Prepare's 2-pack of LiFePO4 batteries can be connected in series to create a 24V 100Ah lithium-ion battery bank or in parallel to build a 12V 200Ah power system. You can even wire up to 16 batteries in series and parallel to construct a powerful home battery bank system with a capacity of 20.48 kWh.
LiFePO4 batteries have a lifespan of around 10 years, with 3,000 cycles at 80% depth of discharge, significantly outperforming sealed lead-acid batteries, which typically last 500 cycles. Each LiFePO4 battery provides a maximum of 1,280Wh power output, which is 2 to 3 times more powerful than SLA batteries of the same size. The continuous discharge current can power most electrical devices, such as RVs, off-grid systems, fish finders, solar power, electric wheelchairs, camping gear, home alarm systems, and scooters.
The 2-pack of LiFePO4 batteries are designed for energy storage, not for use as car batteries, starting batteries, or golf cart batteries. Two batteries are required for a 12V 62-86 lbs thrust trolling motor. A 60A CIRCUIT BREAKER (not included) must be used to protect the battery. Each battery must be fully charged separately by a 12V lithium charger before being connected in series, ensuring that each battery reaches a balanced state and does not deliver too much voltage to the remaining batteries.
A 12V (14.6V) 5A/10A/20A/50A Lithium battery charger or a solar panel is required to recharge the DR.PREPARE 12V 100Ah LiFePO4 Battery. When using a solar panel for recharging, a solar charge controller is needed. A lead-acid battery charger cannot be used to recharge the DR.PREPARE LiFePO4 Battery.
